As I sit here today, my heart is filled with raw emotion. The FPBR
was created in 2004. The reason for the creation is because I had
just retired from riding bulls and it was a sport that had been part of
my everyday life for over 30 years. After retiring from riding, I
missed the excitement of getting ready for the next ride, the sights,
the sounds, the smell of just being there. That being said, I looked
back on my life and my childhood, and all the memories of being a kid
and going to bull ridings all over the country. If someone hadn't been
there, producing youth bull ridings when I was a kid, there no telling
where I would be or what I would be doing with my life. So,for the
past 6 years I have dedicated my life,in every way, to produce a
safe, fun place, for kids to ride the rankest stock, in hopes that they
could hone their skills, to become the best bull riders they could be
and along the way, hopefully creating memories that will last them a
lifetime. In the past 6 years, I have met a lot of good people,made a
lot of great friends and have created many great memories that I will
never forget. However, it is time that I move on to the next phase of
my life. Me and my beautiful wife Jessie, have been spending a lot of
time team roping and are dedicating our time now, to traveling to
rodeos together and I am honing MY skills to being the best team
roper I can be!!!That being said, the FPBR is closing its doors on the
2010 season. I would like to thank EVERYONE that has dedicated
their time and support in the last 6 years and know that it has not
gone unappreciated. I wish all the kids and their families, nothing but
the best and wish you all good luck in your future. We may still do a
buckle series here and there, but for now, I'm gonna enjoy my time
with my wife, my daughter, my grandson,my family and our roping
horses!!! If you are ever down our way, swing by and say hello as we
will probably be at the barn or at our arena roping steers. Thank you
